UFP was absolutely instrumental in getting this documentary project made. For documentary filmmakers, finding and interviewing people that have suffered immensely is so hard. Not only do these people instinctively distrust outsiders, Ukrainian near the front lines are hesitant to open up in fear that telling their story might result in retribution by Russia for themselves and their families (many of whom are still behind the frontlines in Russian occupied territory). UFP was able to create trusted introductions to all of the characters in the film because in most cases they had met them before -- while delivering over 200 tons of aid and other essential items to the front lines since the start of the war. When big organizations were afraid to go further towards the front, UFP didn’t hesitate. And UFP hasn’t stopped helping when they see need. For example, when UFP found out that one of the pastors we interviewed had lost his vehicle to a Russian drone strike on his family, UFP provided him a new (used) van complete with drone detector within weeks. They’ve also evacuated 110 Ukrainians from hotspots since the full-scale invasion began and have been instrumental in helping US congressional leaders understand what’s happening in occupied Ukraine, especially to Ukraine’s Christian population.

Samaritan's Purse is providing food, clean water, and other non-food items, such as wood stoves, solar lights, and construction materials, to suffering families in Ukraine. We are also providing medical and dental care to those in need. Partnering with local churches and others, we work in Jesus' Name to bring this urgently needed relief to people in areas of conflict.

Save Ukraine linked us up with mothers, orphans, and kids who had escaped the occupied territories, who told us the stories that were the heart of this film. The fact that these people had escaped was because of Save Ukraine, and the fact that they had safe housing when they came back to their home country was again thanks to this amazing organization. Save Ukraine has now rescued 559 of the children that Russia has abducted from Ukraine, but over 19,000 remain.

Zeroline runs targeted aid convoys into Ukraine with supplies that directly address the needs of Ukrainian front-line workers. Part of our film team rode into Ukraine on Zeroline convoy Nightengale, made up of 25 vehicles and over $1M in aid including fire trucks, ambulances, IT supplies, and even scuba gear meant for demining efforts on the Dnipro river. In exchange for acting as drivers for their vehicles on the convoy, Zeroline let us borrow a few of their 4x4 vehicles for filming which served us well as we traversed the length of the front lines.
